In advance of the talk, Imke gave us a brief insight into her past experience and current work.
At the Crick, my PhD research involved studying a complex of RNA modifying proteins in budding yeast. I’m now at the Wellcome Trust and my day-to-day role involves:
- Processing molecular biology and genetics grant applications
- Organising shortlisting and interview committees, ensuring that the right expertise is present
- Acting as a point of contact for applicants and grant holders
- Finding expert reviewers to assess applications
Imke will be joined by Ed, a current member of the Grants team here at the Crick. Sign up to the talk via this link: https://connect.crick.ac.uk/event/careers-in-grant-management
Crick alumuni, please do indicate if you would like to join us online or in person so we can arrange for you to have everything you need. Current Crick staff are welcome to come along to the Meeting Rooms without having registered.
