At this careers talk, former Crick researchers Charles Foster and Isabelle Blomfield will share their experiences of moving from academia into Medical Writing for anyone interested in making a similar move.
Isabelle Blomfield completed her PhD under Francois Guillemot in 2019. She then joined Seques, where she currently works as a Medical Writer.
After completing a Postdoc in Richard Treisman's Lab in 2018, Charles Foster moved in to Medical Writing with Chamelon Communications International. In December 2020 Charles joined Oxford PharmaGenesis as a Senior Medical Writer.
They will speak about their own career paths, their current roles, the challenges and rewards of working in the sector, and any additional information that would be useful to scientists thinking about making a similar move.
