At this careers talk, former Crick researchers will share their experiences of moving from research institutes to work in lecturing and higher education teaching. for anyone interested in making a similar move.
Paola Di Meglio completed a Postdoc under Gitta Stockinger in 2017. She then moved to King's College London to open her own lab, where she works as a Lecturer in Cutaneious Immunology.
Kevin Rouault-Pierre worked under Dominque Bonnet, completing his Postdoc in 2017. He is now a Lecturer and Group Leader at Barts Cancer Institute, part of Queen Mary, University of London.
They will speak about their own career paths, their current roles, the challenges and rewards of working in the sector, and any additional information that would be useful to scientists thinking about making a similar move.
